Thread catcher, Pocket book

One thread catcher and a bread basket.

This pattern I found at Lin's blog
well not really the pattern,  the link to the pattern.
The bread basket I made much bigger, instead of 9" I did 20".

This is a beautiful little notebook my son made for me,
it is leather and some hand dyed fabric (which I made).
The hexagons are beautifully inline with the leather.

Inside at the back is a small pocket.

This knitted sweater I finished in January,
for my son

It was fun to do.

And I knitted myself a dress, for the winter,
but now the spring has arrived
I can put it away.
The yarn I bought at Pickles in Norway.
They do have some beautiful yarn.

One more block for Downton Abbey Quilt finished.

Happy stitching
Paula.

Brilliant Paula! I love the way you have used the threadcatcher pattern for a bread basket - I may just copy that myself!! Beautiful knitting - what I would call Aran and the book is wonderful. xx

The thread catcher & bread basket are pretty AND clever.

What a thoughtful and beautiful gift that notebook is from your son! Truly a special handmade treasure.

Your knitting is exquisite. The sweater and dress are both amazing!

I like your Downton Abbey block too!
